The
Mayans
The Mayan Culture is considered to be one of the largest culture
in the American continent because of their knowledge in sciences,
astrology and more.
This civilization was living during the third
millennium before Christ, living in a 320,000 square kilometers
territory, taking in regions of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras,
Belize and part of El Salvador. Through the centuries they
were able to form a great civilization. the main Mayan tribes
gave origin to todays several dialects. This civilization
had the power for over 2000 years; from the VI century B.C.
to the XV century they lived and formed three periods:
* Preclasico
* Clasico or Old
* Postclasico or New Empire
PRECLÁSICO, from the 1500’s B.C. to the year
292 A.D.; this was the period where Agriculture began (corn
cultivation). Monochrome ceramic, stone carving and the construction
of the first buildings in places like Kaminal Juyú,
Izapa, El Baúl, Tikal, Uaxactún, Dzibilchaltún
are part of this period as well. During this time the Mayans
appear in Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras, this period is considered
a time of small development.
'
CLASSIC OR OLD (clásico o antiguo),this period,
from the year 292 to 900 A.D., can be divided into two stages:
The EARLY Period (periodo temprano) and the LATE Period (periodo
tardio). The Early Period goes from the year 292 to the year
650 A.D.; during this time the “teocrático”
system governed the society in the Usumacinta, Chiapas,
Yucatan, Petén and part of Honduras territories. The
mathematic sciences were developed, as well as astronomy,
chronology, hieroglyphic writing, ceramic arts and sciences
like medicine.
This Empire built big cities like PIEDRAS NEGRAS,
TIKAL, UAXACTÚN, QUIRIGUA, BONAMPAK, PALENQUE, COPÁN;
cities like TIKAL, PALENQUE and COPÁN are the most
important ones. In The Late Period the Mayan Culture flourished
and it reached its maximum splendor and acme, developing arts,
agricultural advances, highly developed numeration system,
a solar and religious calendar and also a new sophisticated
construction systems for pyramids and buildings. The most
important Mayan cities of this period were Tikal, Uaxactún,
Piedras Negras, Copán, Quirigua Yaxchilán, Boanampak
and Palenque, in the southern area were Kaminal Juyú,
and in the northern area cities like Chichen Itza, Uxmal,
Xpuhil, Hochob and Labna were the major ones.
POSTCLÁSICO OR NEW EMPIRE, like
the previous period this has two stages; the "Early Period"
(periodo temprano) is the first stage, starting in the year
900 to the year 1250; and the second stage called “Late
Period” (periodo tardio) from the year 1250 to 1527 A.D..
In this period the Mayan empire decadence began due to influences
of foreign groups, these groups began to exercise pressure
over the Mayan people, their religion and government, creating
wars, which created great disorganization and disintegration
for the great Mayan civilization that culminated with the
Spanish invasion in 1527.
All through the “New Empire” the most
powerful cities were: Chichen Itzá, Uxmal and Mayapán.
According to historians the origin of this great Mayan Race
is still unknown, and not even the exact meaning of their
name "MAYA" has been deciphered yet, We also
ignore the reason who most of their people disappeared. If
they emigrated to faraway lands or unknown directions is still
a mystery.
History
of the Crystal Skulls

The public first became aware of the crystal skulls during
the later part of the 19th century. At this time, many museums
of the world became interested in displaying antiquities from
past civilizations (Egypt, Greece, Mesoamerica, etc …).
Thus, in the 1878, in the Musèe de l’homme (the
Museum of Man) in Paris and in 1898, in the British Museum
in London, each had a clear quartz skull on public display.
It is believed that both of these crystal skulls originated
from within Mexico (possibly connected with ancient ruins
or tombs) during the 1860’s, at the time of the French
occupation of this country. Eventually both of these skulls
somehow came into the possession of a French antiquities dealer,
by the name of Boban and eventually found their way to the
stated museums.
During the research for our new book, “Journeys
of a Crystal Skull Explorer” we uncovered that there
were a few other old or ancient crystal skulls that also surfaced
into private hands during the 19th century. Within recent
years, these particular skulls are now held by various individuals
who have publicly disclosed their existence and in some cases,
are permitting other people to sit with them in private.
As we entered into the first part of the 20th
century, there was an entirely different group of crystal
skulls that mysteriously surfaced. Within this group of skulls
there was also a strong connection with the ancestors of the
indigenous people living in different parts of Mexico or Central
America.
Next, please find a short description about
some of the most well known crystal skulls that emerged at
this time:
“The Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull”:
named after famed explorer and adventurer, F. A. Mitchell-Hedges,
discovered in Lubaantum, an ancient Mayan city in Belize in
1924. This skull is human-size and made from an absolutely
clear piece of quartz that includes a removable jaw. It is
an almost exact copy of our own modern bone skull. At the
current time this skull is in the hands of his adopted daughter,
Anna Mitchell-Hedges (since the time of her father’s
death in 1959);
“ET”: discovered by a Mayan
family near Guatemala while digging on their property in 1906.
This crystal skull was obtained by Joky Van Dieten in 1991
through a crystal store near Los Angeles. It is the only known
human-size ancient crystal skull that is made from smoky quartz.
In appearance it has a resemblance to a type of “ET”
shape with a slightly pointed chin and similarly pointed in
the top part of the head. This crystal skull now travels the
world with its caretaker who hopes to share it with other
people (including world leaders) to meditate with for world
peace;
“Max” -- an 18 lb (8.2 kg)
clear quartz crystal skull purportedly discovered in a Mayan
tomb in Guatemala between 1924-1926. The skull was gifted
by a Mayan Shaman to a Tibetan-trained lama in 1970. It was
housed within his healing center in Houston, Texas and was
used as a healing tool to assist numerous patients who came
to the center. Upon the lama’s death, the crystal skull
was gifted to his close friends, Carl and JoAnn Parks. Currently
Mrs. Parks is touring (primarily in the U.S.) with her crystal
skull, providing many people an opportunity to experience
this ancient skull directly;
“Ami”, the Amethyst Crystal
Skull: It is stated by its current owners that it was believed
to have once been part of a collection of crystal skulls held
by the Mexican President Diaz (from 1876-1910). Another report
we have heard discussed that this skull may have been discovered
in the Oaxaca area (Mexico) and was handed down from generation
to generation through an order of Mayan Priests. This is smaller
than a human-size skull and weights 8.5 lbs. (3.86 kg). “Ami”
now resides in San Jose, California with a group of businessmen
who are offering it for sale.
There are of course many other crystal skulls
which are believed to be “ANCIENT” or very
old, but the ones we have discussed here are a very good representation
of the different types of such crystal skulls that are known
in the world today.So, why are the Crystal Skulls so Important?
There is no simple answer to this question.
The study of the crystal skulls is very complex and seems
almost never ending. However, we would like to offer to the
readers of this article a few ideas or thoughts that we have
gathered over the years from a number of sources, for your
consideration:
“The Crystal Skulls function
like our modern-day computers and were used in this capacity
by various (advanced?) civilizations in our past. They contain
hidden knowledge and information that when it is the time
for this to be revealedwill ultimately assist humanity to
create a Golden Age of peace and harmony upon our world!”
“They were a powerful tool
for healing [Body Mind Spirit] within such cultures as the
Mayans, the Aztecs or even the Atlanteans”
“Relative to today: We have witnessed many
people’s lives being profoundly affected after having
had an opportunity to spend time in the presence of a very
old crystal skull. And even now, these type of phenomena are
beginning to happen around the ‘Contemporary Crystal
Skulls’ as well. Could the crystal skulls then, be a
type of mini energy vortex or better yet a catalyst that is
helping people to awaken to their true spiritual nature?”Has
Any Research Been Done to Understand the Skulls?
Yes indeed, there has been some fascinating
research conducted by the Society of Crystal Skulls, International
in California, headed by crystal skull expert, F. R. “Nick”
Nocerino for almost 60 years. Additionally, in 2001, a group
of us have formed the World Mystery Research Center (based
in the U.S. and Holland) where we have initially focused our
energies upon two special aspects related to the crystal skulls:
1) To work with various electronic devices to
better understand how (and verify why) the energy of a crystal
skull is able to affect people in such a powerful manner while
in their presence. Our experiments have showed time after
time that the crystal skulls appear to assist an individual
in a number of different ways (both from a health point of
view and in their personal lives). We performed a series of
blind tests utilizing meridian based machines, EEG, a lecher
antenna (shown to your left) and Kirlian cameras sensitive
to recording and displaying the Aura.
2) We also discovered secret codes contained
within the crystal skulls in the form of images that appeared
when we applied a special process upon scanned images of the
crystal skulls. Additionally, in our investigation with the
controversial Bible Code (hidden information encoded within
the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament by a
numerical skipping of letters), we found this code clearly
seems to understand the crystal skulls as it refers to their
link to the Mayans and Prophecy; that they function like computers
and are used for healing and spoke about the Mitchell-Hedges
Crystal Skull.
Final Comments from the writers:
We believe the crystal skulls are one of the
most important ancient artifacts that have been discovered
so far in our recorded history. Because of what the crystal
skulls could represent for the future of humanity, we believe
that these ancient artifacts deserve a great deal more time,
attention and study. This is part of the reason we were inspired
to setup our non-profit research center, as was discussed
before.
Since the beginning of 2004, we have heard from
a number of new people who have a strong interest to learn
more about the crystal skulls. It has even been interesting
to observe the process for when we could release our new book.
No matter what we tried, we could not have everything ready
until we were into this year. We suspect that on some level,
the energy connected to these special crystalline objects
has been dramatically increased and a new door has been opened.
Thus based upon this observation, we believe that you will
be hearing about some new situations or insights about the
crystal skulls in the near future.
On a personal level, the crystal skulls are
continuing to take Desy and I on an incredible journey all
over the world. There are new places we are being invited
to travel to for sharing information about the skulls or more
opportunities to expand upon our research.
Regardless of the source from where the ancient
skulls may have originated (possibly very advanced cultures
in our past or perhaps from other worlds), they are continuing
to assist many people to awaken to their true inner potential.
Who knows, perhaps the crystal skulls are a visual reminder
for all of us that we are members of the same spiritual family
who must unite now and work together in a cooperative manner
to create the type of world we seek. Since the first moment
I came into contact with my first crystal skull ("Ami"),
I have always felt that the skulls are a confirmation of the
prophecies that discuss a major transformation that our world
will and is going through. So perhaps, if we each would just
follow the inspiration in our heart and our soul, how to best
live our lives, we can make a difference and help to bring
forth a peaceful planet.
The best way we believe to better understand
what the crystal skulls are about and to appreciate them is
to have your own personal experience with one. So please,
